Welcome, festival goers from around the world! Discover or relive the atmosphere of Geneva Festival, Switzerland’s largest annual free event open to the general public. This major summer rendezvous will open on 17 July and close on 10 August.
From 17 July, the scene will be set in the Jardin Anglais! Geneva’s biggest names will be in attendance to offer magical evenings on the Club Stage. This legendary stage has been given a facelift and its programme has some international surprises in store for you!
From 31 July, the harbour as a whole gets in on the act, with funfairs and food stalls from all over the world to put you in party mood. In the heart of theJardin Anglais, a space dedicated to Geneva’s accession to the Swiss Confederation in 1815 looks forward to welcoming you, as well as a play area for children, lots to enjoy for music and dance lovers, and a host of new and innovative attractions!
At Baby-Plage, experience a world exclusive and step into a different dimension by visiting the Luminarium. A magical world, a labyrinth of colour and acoustic ambiences, a sensory experience to be shared with friends and family.
And naturally, the proven successes of a programme loved by nearly two million visitors: the slowUp, processions around the Harbour, the opening-night firework display on 2 August, the famous café waiters’ race - on the right bank this year - and the new pop-rock stage in front of the Bains des Pâquis, to mention but a few.
The eagerly awaited Grand Firework Display will take place on Saturday 9 August at 10pm. An hour of dizzying pyrotechnics set to music over an area of 27,000 square metres, more than 14,000 fountains, 9,000 Roman candles, 40 firing stations, 600,000 spectators and a logistical prowess found nowhere else in the world. Our fireworks experts are already hard at work preparing a breathtaking display on the theme of Man and Time. Don’t waste another second, you can buy tickets for seated places directly from FNAC or on its website, or via the link available on the relevant pages of our website.
