Opening Firework Display
In keeping with tradition, the Saturday of the first week of Geneva Festival 2014 will feature an evening firework display, scheduled to commence at 10:30 pm sharp and lasting 30 minutes, for the enjoyment of festival goers. For the first time, this impressive display will be entirely set to music, however only in the Harbour. Based on the theme of the bicentenary of Geneva’s accession to the Swiss Confederation, it will
give pride of place to the music and traditions of our home canton.
One piece of advice for fireworks lovers: come early! With the programme of other concerts and celebrations, not forgetting the many bars and restaurants set up around the Harbour, it’s likely that visitors in their thousands will be in attendance to admire the expertise of our fireworks experts.
