Formed in 1999 by the brothers Alex and Fred Sumi, the Sumos are now heavyweight contenders on the dance floor. Their musical adventure has seen the band appear on countless stages, performing a blend of funk, electronic and soul music. A talent that got noticed very quickly, as attested by the interest of top DJs in London, New York and Paris. Setting the seal on this success, their different albums “Before the Sun”, “Rise” and “Over the Beat” can be heard regularly on the airwaves and have been cheered on by the press and selected for numerous international compilations. With a mix of disco memorabilia, 80s funk, hip-hop, soulful vocals and deep house grooves, the two brothers are putting the finishing touches to their latest album “Ex machine”, which will open a new musical era for this extremely gifted duo.
